কারিগরি শিক্ষা অধিদপ্তর গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী
বাংলাদেশ সরকারের শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়াধীন কারিগরি ও মাদ্রাসা শিক্ষা
বিভাগের একটি অধিদপ্তর। কারিগরি শিক্ষার সম্প্রসারণ ও মানোন্নয়নের মাধ্যমে
দক্ষ মানব সম্পদ সৃষ্টির লক্ষ্যে ১৯৬০ সালে এটি প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় । গত অর্ধ
শতকে কারিগরি শিক্ষা ও প্রশাসনের বহু শাখা-প্রশাখার বিস্তার ঘটেছে।
অধিদপ্তরের মূল কাজ ৪টি যথা-মানব সম্পদ ব্যবস্থাপন, উন্নয়ন কর্মকান্ড
পরিচালনা, একাডেমিক কার্যক্রমের তদারকীকরণ এবং কারিগরি শিক্ষা সংশ্লিষ্ট
দেশীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিক সংস্থার সঙ্গে সংযোগ সৃষ্টি করা।
অধিদপ্তরাধীন শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের সংখ্যা
মোট ১১৯টি। তিনটি স্তরে পাঠদান কার্যক্রম পরিচালিত হয় যথা-সার্টিফিকেট,
ডিপ্লোমা ও ডিগ্রী স্তর। সার্টিফিকেট পর্যায়ে রয়েছে ৬৪টি টেকনিক্যাল স্কুল ও
কলেজ। ১টি ভোকেশনাল টিচার্স ট্রেনিং ইনষ্টিটিউট। ডিপ্লোমা পর্যায় ৪৯টি
পলিটেকনিক ইন্সটিটউট এবং ডিগ্রী পর্যায় টেকনিক্যাল টিচার্স ট্রেনিং
কলেজ-১টি, ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং কলেজ-৪টি।
কারিগরি শিক্ষা অধিদপ্তরটি এফ-৪/বি, শেরে-ই-বাংলা নগর প্রশাসনিক এলাকা, আগারগাঁও, ঢাকা-১২০৭ এ অবস্থিত।

History of Computer technology
A computer is a general purpose device which can be programmed to carry out a finite set of arithmetic or logical operations. Since a sequence of operations can be readily changed, the computer can solve more than one kind of problem. The essential point of a computer is to implement an idea, the terms of which are satisfied by Alan Turing's Universal Turing machine.
Conventionally, a computer consists of at least one processing element and some form of memory. The processing element carries out arithmetic and logic operations, and a sequencing and control unit that can change the order of operations based on stored information. Peripheral devices allow information to be retrieved from an external source, and the result of operations saved.
A computer's processing unit executes a series of instructions that make it read, manipulate and then store data. Conditional instructions change the sequence of instructions as a function of the current state of the machine or its environment.
In order to interact with such a machine, programmers and engineers developed the concept of a user interface in order to accept input from humans and return results for human consumption.
The first electronic digital computers were developed between 1940 and 1945 in the United Kingdom and United States. Originally, they were the size of a large room, consuming as much power as several hundred modern personal computers (PCs).[1] In this era mechanical analog computers were used for military applications.
Modern computers based on integrated circuits are millions to billions of times more capable than the early machines, and occupy a fraction of the space.[2] Simple computers are small enough to fit into mobile devices, and mobile computers can be powered by small batteries. Personal computers in their various forms are icons of the Information Age and are what most people think of as "computers". However, the embedded computers found in many devices from mp3 players to fighter aircraft and from toys to industrial robots are the most numerous.

Polytechnic Institute website. I hope your visit to this website will
be informative, feeling and useful. Shariatpur Polytechnic Institute,
abbreviated as SPI , was established in 2005 with the goals of
providing high quality mid-level technical education, developing human
resources, and providing well-paying jobs. SPI prides itself not because
of its age but for the depth of its involvement in engineering and
technology. For years, it has demonstrated its quality and wisdom in
teaching and training.
Shariatpur Polytechnic Institute operates under the executive control of
Ministry of Education, Government of the People's Republic of
Bangladesh, acting through the Directorate of Technical Education. The
academic programmes, however, function under the regulation of the
Bangladesh Technical Education Board, Dhaka.
It has expanded its frontiers in various fields of engineering and
technology such as Computer, Electronics, Telecommunication,
Instrumentation & process controll. More than 1200 students are
pursuing Diploma-in-Engineering studies in this Institute. Every year
around 600 new students get admission here. There are 30 teachers in
this Institute. SPI struggles towards excellence through the practice of
high quality culture in teaching and training. It aims to become a
reputed Polytechnic Institute with the vision of being an academic hub
that creates the intellectual capital required for the development of
the nation and sustaining the growth of the country. Attention is paid
to global social and cultural changes for framing the academic
programme. It maintains a constant link with industries and businesses.
So,the question is,"What do we teach here?" Well, We have Four core
departments and a Non-Tech. department. Other Core Departments are
• Computer Technology
• Electronic Technology
• Telecommunication Technology
• Instrumentation and process control Technology
And we also have our skilled teachers to
teach the students well. All of the listed above courses are 4-years
with a validity of 8-years registration period. Since we have started
our journey, we're getting improved more and more to face new challenges
of consistently upgrading world. Here, we value education &
quality. So, we try to bring the best into learners’ life, and that's
why we're working on.
