Shariatpur Polytechnic Institute is the newest Polytechnic Institute in Bangladesh. It was established in 2001 with only 120 students in the first year classes of Diploma-In-Engineering in four technologies, namely, Computer, IPCT, TCT and Electronics with the growing demands of mid-level technical manpower home and abroad the Institute has since greatly expended. The Institute now offers courses in Four technologies.
